Always bring: a face mask, gloves, water, snacks, wear layers that you can peel off and put back on as workout progresses. Suggestions to also bring in your car for after workout: healthy snacks (to replenish muscle glycogen- for less fatigue & soreness, best to eat within first 30 minutes after workout), at least a liter of water or hot tea with honey, (suggestion: add electrolytes to your water for better absorption, Nuun is one good brand at Homer Saw or google to make your own), warm dry layers & warm hat for after to prevent getting chilled on way home.
Homer Nordic workouts are great for all levels of fitness. We will keep practices challenging for those looking for a higher intensity workout and will give modification options for those on a more moderate track. Please join us wherever you are at on this spectrum.
Always bring a face mask, water (we recommend adding electrolytes for better absorption), layers, gloves and a snack for after & a change of clothes for afterwards. Snack /replenish soon after workout is very important.
At this time Homer Nordic will follow State of Alaska’s health mandates relative to guidelines on group sizes and outdoor activities.
